Text Box: The not Church, church

Get Connected

We join together and need each other in this journey.  We gather together in larger and smaller expressions of the Church.  Sometimes we join with many Christians from various denominations and congregations to be the Church together.  Sometimes we gather together as one congregation called First Baptist Church.  Sometimes we gather together in smaller groups.  In all these expressions of the Church, we seek to love God and love people.  We strive to love and serve one another and the world around us, following the example and guidance of Jesus.

Text Box: What we do is different from week to week, and our gatherings are based on the fundamental principle that worship is an offering to God. Worship is centered around a shared meal and the offerings we bring can include anything from food, Scripture, prayer, music, to visual arts. Everyone brings something, even when we don’t bring anything. There are no sermons or performances. What we share springs forth from who we are and how we are currently engaged in God’s Kingdom.

We meet in homes at 6pm for worship every other Sunday.

Contact Rod Zambrows for the meeting time and place (call the church office for contact information).

Friday from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at the Fellowship Hall

Every Friday at 11:00 am we partner with Food Finders to give away baked goods to people who are experiencing a time of shortage.  Contact the church office at (765) 742-5223 if you are interested in helping.

Text Box: A monthly conversation and discussion session focused on discerning the basic (from nano to quantum) elements of faith. Where does faith come from? How do faith and belief differ? Where does science end and faith begin? (Or did I just ask that question backward?) Can we be creatures who treasure both as we pursue a greater understanding of God?

Aristotle’s Step Children meet on the 4th Monday of the month at 6pm. Locations vary.

Contact Rod Zambrows for the meeting time and place (call the church office (765) 742-5223).
Text Box: Our mid-week study group is usually known by something that distinguishes our particular course of study. Currently, we’re examining how our perception of God and our views on life, death, and the hereafter influence how we live today.
