Mission |
Love God
This is the first and greatest commandment. |
Love People
The second greatest commandment. |
Embody the Kingdom
Jesus showed us what life in the Kingdom of Heaven is like, and proclaimed the good news of the Kingdom of Heaven.
As Followers of Jesus, we do the same, and pray, “your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” |
Together as a Family
Relationships are important. We develop our relationships with God and one another. |
How We Do It |
Together as the Body
We are all different; with different personalities, viewpoints, resources, and abilities. When we join together we paint a better picture of God and his Kingdom. As we serve, using our unique characteristics, resources, and abilities; we embody the Kingdom. |
Multiplying Disciples
Part of following Jesus means multiplying disciples who multiply disciples who multiply disciples, and so on.
It’s not about counting numbers, but living out the good news through people proclaiming and embodying the Kingdom of Heaven. If we truly love God and love people, then we must invite them into the family and the Kingdom of Heaven. |
Beyond Our Congregation
We work with others to embody the Kingdom of Heaven through: •The Church Universal. •Churches in the Greater Lafayette Area •Downtown Churches in Lafayette •American Baptist Churches, USA •The region of Indiana and Kentucky •The Northwest area •The Baptist Student Foundation •and more |
Missional Living
Loving God and loving people isn’t as much about programs and events as it is about embodying the Kingdom of Heaven day in and day out. It’s cultivating missional rhythms of living as we intentionally submit to God, sacrifice, and serve others; embodying the Kingdom of Heaven in our everyday life. |
